A private, nonprofit community development corporation, established in August 1997. NIDA focuses on the following service areas:

• Community Building

• and Quality Education & Social Services for the community at large

St. Matthew NIDA is a faith based institution, whose mission is to serve as the catalyst; building safe, economically viable and family reinforcing communities in the Oranges in Essex County, New Jersey.

To achieve this end, St. Matthew NIDA has joined with community members to advocate against underlying social, economic and physical problems, which currently impact the neighborhoods, together creating an environment where all community members can thrive and be empowered.
